That’s changing this month, and Makers Market‘s regular series of Open Air Artisan Faires at the Mill Valley Lumber Yard will be among the first to return to the calendar. Owner Suzy Ekman and her team say they are thrilled to emerge from the colored-tier regulations within the statewide Blueprint for a Safer Economy framework.
The Open Air Artisan Faires kick off Saturday, June 12 and run monthly on the second Saturday through December – so July 10, August 14, September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11.
“These Open Air Artisan Faire brings the best of the Bay Area’s skilled craftspeople into one space for residents to enjoy,” Ekman says. “This outdoor fair features sustainably crafted jewelry, home décor, apothecary goods, CBD products, glass, artwork, candles, local honey, ceramics, leather goods, clothing and more sold by the artists. Each month, you can meet these makers, shop their artisan-crafted work, and enjoy live, local music.”
On June 12, Makers Market will be partnering with Watershed restaurant and customers purchasing $100 in the Makers Market store will receive a complimentary house glass of wine at the creekside restaurant. Also, at this market, local Makers will be selling special gifts for Dad, like men’s leather bracelets and backpacks, briefcases, leather duffle bags & wallets, grooming products, and collector’s knives in the adjacent store with over 100+ local artists represented.
“We are thrilled to have all four of our Bay Area stores survive 2020 and to have relaunched all four of our Outdoor monthly markets,” Ekman adds. “We are excited and blessed to resume our mission of supporting thousands of local designers, makers, and artists!”
