Hannah Lou Martin | HLM Ceramics

“A Conversation with Clay”

HLM Ceramics is inspired by the human desire to create and transform the earth into objects of purpose, beauty, and meaning. My work is a contemporary contribution to a timeless dialogue between humans and the earth, one that has unfolded across generations. Inspired by generations of makers and the natural world around us, I honor this lineage while offering my own perspective through clay.

John Bass | Founder of Mixt Design representing Sculptor Stephen Bouska

“Live Sculpting in the Garden”

Stephen Bouska worked on a wide breadth of prestigious projects ranging from: cathedrals and courthouses, historical listed structures and building conservation, private estates, Fine arts Sculptural commissions, and other works in stone. His training and apprenticeship working as an architectural stone carver and Mason earned him the knowledge of “how” to cut stone.  Finding his voice and vocabulary was not complete he studied Fine Arts Sculpture at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a stone carving emphasis; obtaining my BFA in 2017. He is a licensed California masonry contractor combining traditional craft and contemporary techniques to produce a legacy in our built environment.
