This school year is especially meaningful as the Tam High Foundation celebrates its 30th Anniversary. For three decades, our parent community has helped provide extraordinary opportunities for students beyond what public funding alone can support. We look forward to celebrating this milestone together at a special 30th Anniversary Celebration at the Sweetwater Music Hall in March.
We’re also excited to welcome Emily Uhlhorn as the Foundation’s new Executive Director beginning in January 2027. Emily brings a deep commitment to Tam High and public education, and we look forward to the next chapter of the Foundation’s work in support of our students and teachers.

How You Can Support Tam Students
The PTSA, Tam High Foundation and Tam Boosters are the three parent organizations that support our Hawks. No single organization can provide everything our students need. Together, these organizations form a partnership that supports every dimension of the Tam experience — from outstanding academics and student wellness to a vibrant campus community and exceptional athletic opportunities.
Each organization has a distinct mission, and together they help ensure every student has the resources, opportunities, and experiences that make Tam High extraordinary. Supporting all three organizations is one of the most meaningful ways families can invest in their students’ education and in the entire Tam Community.
As the school’s primary academic fundraising organization, THF partners with TamAdministrators and TUHSD leadership to support academics, student wellness, the library, field trips and student equity through grants that empower teachers and expand opportunities for every student.
Our Annual Donation Campaign is now underway, with a goal of raising $866,000 by December 31. Your support at $950 per student (or at any level that is comfortable for your family) helps to create the extraordinary Tam experience our students deserve. We hope you’ll consider supporting all three organizations as an investment in your student and in the entire Tam Community.

Examples of how Tam students benefit directly from donations:
Math – Graphing calculators and learning tools
Science – Mobile underwater robots (ROVs)
Library – 400 new books and daily after-school librarian
Wellness – funds to keep the Center open 5 days a week
English – Poetry and literature guest teachers
AIM and Journalism – Professional-grade cameras and video equipment
PE – Sports equipment
Art, Music, Drama – THF provides 95% needed funding
French and Spanish – State-of-the-art headphones
College and Career – Fee assistance for 200 applications
