Work Completed July 20 – 24

Screenshot

● Continued dewatering operations to lower water levels under the site so excavation work can be done safely.  Water that was removed was pumped to an on-site tank where it was treated and then released into the storm  drain system.

● Began excavation work to prepare the site for interim campus construction. Impacted soil was hauled off to a  licensed disposal facility.

● Excavated trenches for water and sewer lines, installed water and electrical utilities, and backfilled trenches with  clean fill material.

● Began forming the curb for the trash enclosure and set fence posts for the electrical utility and trash enclosures.  ● Re-routed the control wiring and relocated the control box for the Friends Field irrigation system so it remains  accessible during interim campus construction.

Work Planned for July 25 – 31

● Continue excavation work to prepare the site for interim campus construction. Impacted soil will be hauled off  to a licensed disposal facility.

● Pour concrete footings and slabs for the interim campus buildings.

● Excavate trenches for utility lines, install water and sewer utilities, and backfill trenches with clean fill material.  ● Mark areas on-site where the retaining walls will be constructed and prepare areas to support the pouring of  lightweight concrete for the retaining walls. These walls are needed to separate the site from surrounding areas  and prevent any potential flooding.

● Form the curb for the trash enclosure and accessible parking curb and set fence posts for the electrical utility  and trash enclosures.

● Deliver and install new gravel in the Friends Field infield to replace gravel that was disturbed as part of the work  to re-route the irrigation control system.

Anticipated Impacts

● There will be noise and vibrations associated with this work.

● Air quality will be monitored during all soil disturbing work.

● 5-8 trucks will enter/exit the site three times per day; trucks will be cleaned and covered before leaving the  property.

The Harrison Skate Park is CLOSED from July 6 – August 31st

● Access between Friends Field and Sycamore Avenue is closed for the duration of the project.

Air Monitoring

● Air quality monitoring demonstrated detected levels of methane, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and dust  (PM10) are below the action levels established in the Community Air Monitoring Plan.

● Minor exceedances of VOCs were attributed to upwind/crosswind (off-site) sources unrelated to construction  activities on-site.

● Minor exceedances of VOCs at the downwind monitoring station over a 15-minute period on July 22 from 3:15  to 3:29 were outside of work hours and could not be attributed to construction activities on-site.

Work Hours

● 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

● 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Saturdays, July 25 through August 15.

● Noisier work will occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

● Some work will occur outside of these hours, and advance notice will be provided.
