Mill Valley, CA — March 19, 2026 — Mill Valley’s oldest and historically important nonprofit organization The Outdoor Art Club (OAC) announced its annual list of grant recipients for 2025/2026. This year’s five recipients were selected based on projects that align with OAC’s core values and the grant focal areas of Food Insecurity and Marin Beautification

Over the past fifty years, the OAC has donated nearly one million dollars in grants awarded to local nonprofit organizations throughout Marin County. The 410-member OAC is dedicated to the protection and beautification of outdoor spaces, wildlife conservation, and civic, literary and charitable work. This year’s grant recipients:

Food Insecurity
SF/Marin Food Bank: Funds will be immediately used to help source, purchase and distribute fresh and nutritious food to over 5,000 households across Marin County every week.

Center for Domestic Peace
C4DP serves domestic violence survivors and their children throughout Marin County. Grant funds will be used to provide food assistance to program participants, who are primarily low income, and approximately 60% have children.

ExtraFood
ExtraFood recovers and shares food that would have been wasted, and delivers free, nutritious groceries and meals to every community in Marin County, serving 110 total safety net food distribution partners, over 38% of whom are based in San Rafael and 19% in Novato.

Marin Beautification

Friends of China Camp
China Camp is a California state park but receives no state financial assistance. Grant funds will be used to clear trash and debris along a section of North San Pedro Road and to cut poison oak sufficiently to maintain screening from the sensitive tidal marsh.

Marin City Historical and Preservation Society
This grant will support the 10-banner expansion of the Marin City Legacy Banner Project, a public art and outdoor beautification initiative that honors the original Black Marinship workers who helped build Marin City during World War II.
