Off and on through the bulk of the pandemic, Mill Valley residents and guests have made clear that their appetite for al fresco dining and shopping options is robust and passionate. Some of that outdoor dining has happened at the #MillerTakeover, a Slow Streets-styled, nearly two-day closure of Miller Avenue between Throckmorton and Sunnyside avenues.
These vibrant events have featured Piazza D’Angelo, Urban Remedy, Gravity Tavern and Equator Coffees, as well as retailers like The Goods, Famous4, Sofia Jewelry, Terrestra and The Store showcasing their wares.
The closure’s popularity has only waned when Mother Nature says otherwise, with winds swirling and making outdoor dining less desirable.

In the interests of injecting the closure with some sonic vibrance, the Mill Valley Chamber and Piazza D’Angelo are teaming up to host Nick Brown & Friends, a multi-talented Marin trio.
Here’s a taste of Nick Brown & Friends.
And they recently performed a Beatles set in the amphitheater at Old Mill Park.
