In July, Petaluma-foundedĀ Angela’s Organic Ice CreamĀ debuted its fourth North Bay location in Mill Valley. In August, Tam Valley resident and chef Tony Adams openedĀ Mill Valley Pasta Co., a downtown retail store catering to cooks and gift givers alike. Adams also operates a factory store in San Rafael and maintains a strong presence at seven Bay Area farmers markets along with other retail outlets.

In each case, the lines out the door say it all. Angela’s Organic Ice Cream was originally founded in Petaluma as Lala’s Creamery. Local Kitchens in Mill Valley is pursuing its mission to give back, bringingĀ communities together through food. “We have loved being a business partner of Kiddo! to help further local children’s education through the arts,” the Local Kitchen s team says in a statement. “As a part of this partnership, we will be giving 5% of all sales between Nov. 4th-10th.
