The City, through a state grant, is funding $175K. Mill Valley Friends of Parks & Recreation will contribute $25K. Organizers seek to get $50k from the volleyball community and plan to raise about $100,000 from a dozen community minded Mill Valley families,” organizers say. “We appreciate you being one of the community minded individuals that make Mill Valley such a wonderful place to live in!” The fencing to support the creation for this new exciting addition to the town will require significant funding.

Caleb Roope, chief executive officer of the Pacific Companies, the projectās developer. āThat isnāt how we see it.ā Roope said the bonds were issued long ago and purchased by Citibank. He said the ruling has failed to shake Citibankās confidence in the project. āEverybody takes for granted that youāre not going to be able to unwind approvals that have already happened,ā Roope said. āThe ruling doesnāt have an effect on what weāre doing and our ability to proceed.ā Roope said his company owns the land in Marin City and has all of the needed approvals.

At the other end of that Throckmorton Ave. block, thereās also no doubt that another relative newcomer, blockbuster hangout haven for a slightly different clientele is Angela’s Organic Ice Cream, the latest edition in a long line of fantastic ice cream shops in the 94941 (shout out to Baskin Robbinsā incredibly long run ātil it closed in 2011.) In each case, the lines out the door say it all. Angela’s Organic Ice Cream was originally founded in Petaluma as Lala’s Creamery. Angela Garat and her son, Ignacio, purchased the business and recipes in 2017, and itās been full speed ahead ever since.Ā There is MUCH more to come, as you’ll read here.
