Holiday Craft Fair Featuring Dozens of Artists Returns to Mill Valley Community Center, 180 Camino Alto ā Dec. 6th, 10am-4pm
Join us for this festive event and enjoy some unique holiday shopping. The fair features many new and returning artists selling their fine handmade arts and crafts. There will be a wide variety of items to choose from that may include: woodwork, jewelry, glass work, ceramics, decorations, knitwear, fiber arts, plants and much more. Our beautiful venue and great southern Marin location, as well as ample parking, will contribute to making this a great fair!

āAs I was heading toward the finish line I had an idea of how I was doing. I told people I just didnāt want to get last,ā Foster said. āWhen I got out of water, I heard my dad say I was 16th out of the water. When I got finished with the bike and I was in the transition area, I heard the announcer say āFoster is 2nd for the USA.ā I thought I didnāt crash, I didnāt drown and said āOh, I might have a chance to do well.ā There was a couple we met in the airport and she was racing for New Zealand in her age group, but he was cheering for me. The run was great because there were three laps so the fans could see us more than once. It was a lot of fun.ā

āThere was a recent incident where a juvenile was riding, crashed, suffered some injuries, and the parent was issued a citation for him riding that vehicle without a license because of the type of vehicle ⦠which was like riding an e-motorcycle, essentially,ā Duenas said. McCracken said, āWe continue to administer an e-bike safety course for juveniles who are cited on an e-bike for the first time. Our goal in developing this course was to continue offering education to youth in our city while keeping these violations from entering the justice system by avoiding a referral to traffic court.ā

It’s our biggest and most kid friendly holiday event. We will also be having a Holiday tea, with treats for all. Everyone is welcome to join. 12/24 – 3:00pm is a dress up and costume hour, we provide all costumes, 4:00pm is the pageant and play and the Holiday tea is also open from 4-5:30pm. Longtime Mill Valley resident, former co-owner of WIGT Print and Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival board member Barry Toranto has been at the forefront of 94941 creativity for decades. But as with many creative dynamos, Toranto has a variety of waves to express his creative output. One of those outlets is thrilling, color-laden Windowscape photographs, as he calls them. Barry is also our 2025-26 Mill Valley Community Map Cover Artist with a windowscape of downtown Mill Valley. oranto will be showcasing his work on the walls of the Mill Valley Chamberās space at 85 Throckmorton Ave. from November 25th to January 15th.Ā Aside from the First Tuesday Artwalk, the Chamberās office is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 12-4pm.

Winterfest, the 94941ās annual holiday celebration produced by the Mill Valley ChamberĀ and supported by the City of Mill Valley, returns to the Downtown Plaza on December 7th, drawing another massive outpouring of residents, participants and friends to celebrate the holidays! We’ll be unveiling all of the amazing local holiday performances in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, there’s plenty of excitement to chew on, including the return of the beautiful Electric Train that kept kiddos and their families busy and happy throughout the day last year.

Now the City Council and staff are pivoting to an extension of its Municipal Service Tax for another decade to continue repairing roads and clearing flammable brush. That assessment came after City Manager Todd Cusimano reported on the tax, known as the MST, at the City Council meeting on Oct. 20 as part of a strategic discussion that looked at future street repairs and local revenue streams. āWe will have to continue with the MST,ā he said. “If we do this right over the next 10 years, weāll be talking about potentially not having to have one of these taxes.ā āThis is not a forever tax,ā added Councilmember Urban Carmel. āThis is really the end game, I think, for the next round.ā
