Marin Theatre presents the West Coast Premiere of āSally & Tom.ā Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks, known for her acclaimed works about American history āTopdog/Underdogā and āFather Comes Home From the Wars,ā sets the stage with the metatheatrical story of a fictional up-and-coming theatre company rehearsing a play about Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson. As opening night approaches, playwright Luce is struggling with rewrites and pressure from a producer about how to frame the relationship between the third president and the woman he enslaved.

Many residents find it hard to believe that Amazonāone of the richest companies in the worldācouldn’t afford the necessary building updates. Mill Valley Mayor Stephen Burke sought to squash the idea that the City obstructed seismic retrofits that were necessary, and made it clear in a statement: āThe City regrets the potential closure of the Whole Foods, which is an important community resource. The decision to close, if true, is based on business considerations that the City is not privy to. Further, other than issuing a permit for roof repairs, the City has imposed no further requirements or restrictions upon the property. In fact, this year City Council, the Planning Commission, and City Staff have dedicated themselves to updating and modifying parking, commercial codes, and other regulations with the goal of making the opening and operation of vibrant businesses easier.ā

This Peer to Peer Fundraising Cycling Event celebrates the KBFās mission to inspire and empower people with spinal cord injuries to lead active, engaged lives through adaptive sports and recreation, and the Cityās commitment to a improving access to the incredible recreation opportunities in and around town for folks accessing the area by bike, on foot, by wheelchair, or on public transportation. The event will include a community celebration open to all on Depot Plaza from 12-4 on Saturday the 25th, featuring food, beverage, live music from Sean Carscadden, and an opportunity to learn more about adaptive sports, the KBFās mission, and TMACās work. A spoof of ultra-careful parents discussing vaccination policy at an exclusive private school ā and a spoof of much more than that ā the play has been well received everywhere itās been produced, including London and New York, where it won this yearās Tony Award for best revival of a play. Opening Aug. 28, āEureka Dayā will feature original director Josh Costello (Auroraās artistic director) at the helm.
