Mill Valley Chamber Once Again Is Set to Showcase the Artwork of Tam High Students in Zachary Gilmour’s Drawing and Painting Class in May ā ArtWalk is Tuesday, May 6th, 5:30ā7:30pm!
Longtime Tam High art teacher Zachary Gilmour, who is largely responsible for supporting the array of creative artwork from his students that ends up being showcased each year, is showcasing his students’ drawing and painting work on the walls of the Mill Valley Chamberās space at 85 Throckmorton Ave., including a reception on May 6th, 5:30-7:30 as part of the Mill Valley Arts Commissionās First TuesdayĀ Artwalk. The student’s work focuses on “In Our Community.”Ā Acrylic paintings on canvas by Intermediate Drawing & Painting. Students were asked to paint anĀ acrylicĀ painting of a member of ourĀ community. Students chose teachers, school staff members, coaches, people who work in local businesses, and family.

There was a live magic show, open gameplay, puppet greeters and a puppet making activity. There is so much more to come!Ā

And some of that is because this is a pretty major construction project,ā said Vanessa Justice, whose term on the Mill Valley Parks and Recreation Commission recently ended. In Mill Valley, hundreds of youths play the sport in clubs and programs. For years, enthusiasts have set up makeshift nets and courts on the cityās hockey fields on Sunday, when those fields are closed to organized sports, Justice said.
