The Marin County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is expanding private‑sector engagement to strengthen disaster readiness, continuity, and recovery. I’d appreciate your help identifying members of the business community who would be interested in participating in two opportunities:

1) Marin Business Resilience Advisory Group:
OEM is convening a public‑private forum for business leaders to coordinate on preparedness, response, and recovery. Meetings will be brief, periodic, and focused on the unique role the private sector plays in creating a more resilient community.
2) Private‑sector representative for the Disaster & Citizen Corps Council (DC3):
The DC3 private-sector representative position is currently open. DC3 meets quarterly. The Council’s mission is to review preparedness progress across sectors; promote preparedness through communication and education; and mobilize residents through outreach, training, and volunteer service to make our communities safer from disasters and emergencies. More information about DC3 is available here: https://emergency.marincounty.gov/pages/dc3
How your Chamber can help:
  • Reply with a point of contact for ongoing OEM–Chamber coordination (or confirm if you are the point of contact).
  • Share these opportunities with your membership.
  • Directly provide recommendations and introductions (name, title, organization, email) for the Advisory Group and/or DC3 position.
Please send responses by October 30, 2025. Earlier replies are appreciated.
Thank you for your partnership in building a more resilient Marin.
